We met Sandy, Karl and the girls at Culvers for dinner last night (yes it was horribly cold) so we could get our medicine cabinets Karl made. We had a fun time. The kids meals include a cup of frozen custard. It was too cold for me...but Rachel and Lydi didn't think so! Sandy was teasing her the Bruce was going to kiss her...she wanted no part of that...until Sandy said she could have some custard if she gave Uncle Bruce a kiss!
This is for a friend/co-worker who is expecting her first baby at any time. She is my age!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is scheduled for a c-section on 2/20...if she goes that long...sort of doubt it. Anyways...she had asked me to design a thank you card for her. I made this last fall. I am anxious to do her baby announcements too! Photos are from Gettyimages.com

I am working on Lydia's scrapbook pages for the year. I have given them to her for her birthday each of her almost 4 years. So, I am doing last year from March 31, 2006 - March 31, 2007. I had a few photos selected in which to do layouts. I asked my sister if she had any photos from the past year she would could send me. She sent me 175 photos - and I already had about a hundred. I would like to use as many photos as possible...as they are all so fun. I have been thinking a bit about what kind of look/layout style I want to use for the pages. I tend to lean towards using the photos as the decoration rather than printed/patterned paper. I think sometimes the paper and all the embellishments take away from the photo(s). Here are some of my previous layouts...a couple of them were started by never truly finished.
I love the first 2...the third one I never finished. But what do you think about the Cabela's one above with the black background? Is it too plain? Email me and tell me your thoughts.
This orange is from my mom and dad's tree...there is NOTHING better than this.
Bruce had a really busy weekend! Can you believe this? Click on the photo to see it bigger...all the tools are in the drawers now! Any bets on how long it will stay like this?
