Tuesday - ATL pants; vanity blouse, cream cardigan (can't recall - won on ebay) madden girl shoesi turned off the auto focus on my camera so these next 2 photos suck.
Wednesday - liz claiborne dress, gap? blazer, franco sarto boots ***used straightening iron on hair***
Thursday - liz claiborne black dress, printed sleeveless shirt, pink gap cardigan; FS boots
Friday - jean skirt, willow bay tights, print top, vanity blazer
I scanned these from my "hair file." I have kept a file marked HAIR STYLES in my file cabinet drawer for as long as I can remember. It is filed, alphabetically with my bank statements, credit card statements, utility bills, etc! Some of them didn't get scanned because they were out of date, etc.
This one is a bit too short, but I scanned it anyways.
This is one of the newer ones that made it into the hair file. You can see it was folded. About 6 months ago, I brought it to my hairstyist, but I decided I didn't want to get THAT much cut off. At that time my hair was about 3 inches longer than it is now. I would be willing to go this short now.
Below is a bunch of photos. The first one is me...about 1993 or so. (the person ripped off the other side of the photo is my ex-husband...he COULD NOT BE INCLUDED in my hair file : ) The third one in the top row is one that someone on the forum sent me the link to.
The last two are too short - but isn't that blondie adorable??? I have had that one in the hair file for many, many years. It has been given to 2 of my co-workers who had hair growing back in after going thru chemo for breast cancer. They both brought it to their stylists when they got their first haircuts. I always made them promise to bring it back for my file!
My hair is very straight, and I have heavy bangs. It grows forward, and I wouldn't be able to do a side swept look without a bobby pin holding it in place.
So...what do you think? Any of these, or a combination of a few what you have in mind for me? Angie, you wrote:

Darken the blonde to ash. Brunette would also work. That will step up the sophistication and bring out your eyes.

o I love the fringe. This is very flattering for you. Your hair grows forward for a good reason! I wonder if you could grow it a little and make it more side swept – but still have a fringe. Does that make sense?
-
o Take off some of the length – say three inches. Keep the layers a little longer and flat iron.
Monday - I decided I just had to try to redeem myself after the disaster last time I wore this skirt. I have 2 denim "blazer" type jackets. I just picked this one up at the thrift store on my last excursion. I think it is OK like this...what do you think? I have never tried this type of jacket with a skirt.
Tuesday - My BR suit i got on ebay last winter. I had to get it altered quite a bit - both the jacket and the pants. I was sort of stary eyed when I found the suit on ebay. I thought "oh my...what a great deal on a Banana Republic suit". I could never afford to buy one new so I was quite pleased. When I got it - the jacket was really boxy and the pants were actually TOO SHORT! I am 5'3, so believe me, it was shocking! The tailor added lace to the bottom of the material and was able to then hem them to a great length. Wednesday - A very daring move for me...I actually wore white after Labor Day. A big deal for me : ) I always thought of this as a summer skirt, but I really wanted to wear my pink scarf so I gave it a whirl. No one badgered me or anything for commiting what they still believe is a big Fashion Faux Pas! Thursday - HO HUM...this is a very boring outfit. Not very imaginative. I have had this scarf since the late 1980's. It just looks dull. The pants are navy cords. I do love the shoes - they are red Sofft with a cute little flower across the vamp. Friday...well, I don't have much of an explanation for this one. Really dull. I must not be doing something right when I wear pants. I didn't remember this jacket had 3/4 length sleeves until I put it on which was when I was on my way out the door to go to work. But of course, had time to take a photo : ) ...so I can remember my bad selection!Click here to go back to Angie's forum http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/oufits-from-the-week-trying-2-redeem-myself-from-a-previous-disaster?replies=1#post-102945
Thanks!

I am mad that I wasn't looking right at the camera like all the other photos because maybe it makes this pair not look as good. I think this is the pair I would like to get. It has no nose pads which would really be nice because when I am not wearing them, I can prop them on top of my head and they won't get caught in my hair! I only need glasses for distance, so I will likely be taking them on and off quite a bit. These are brown with green on the inside. On a side note: I do not like peppers OF ANY KIND...except these glasses! If you think I need to go back and get another photo, I can do that.
Lundgren Scandinavia - I think these are probably my favorite, but they have nose pads and are quite a bit more $. I think these are navy. This must be a newer brand as I can find very little on the internet by this brand.
Kate Spade:
1. Vera Wang (dark purple)
2. Lundgren Scandinavian (dark blue)
3. JLo (satin brown)
are any of these keepers?? They all sort of look the same to me. Click here to return to Angie's FAB BLOG and leave me comments...please!! http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/3-more-glasses-optionsplease-help-me-choose?replies=1#post-102038
Monday - the very first photo up there was a big DON'T...i shouldn't have tucked the shirt in and should have worn it belted like I had planned.
Tuesday - Thursday: nothing exciting, except as I look at these again...Geez, my hair really is like a helmet!
After the comments on my hair in my glasses post on the forum, I decided to "style" it a little differently on Friday. It is less curled and looks less "done"...but I think I like it. I may still persue getting it cut, but for now, this isn't bad. Comments? Thanks Angie for the awesome post on throwing on a pop of color over a black turtleneck!

I tried on a couple more pairs of glasses. My favorite is the first pair/photos. They are brown and purple, which you can't really see in the photos. I tried to crop it closer to show you, but as you can see...didn't work so hot. The white you see on the bow is the tag. The second pair has some orange. A few weeks ago I tried on a co-workers glasses and snapped a photo. I forgot to take one of the bows. They are cute. You can click on each picture to enlarge. I realize now, a bit of lipstick was in order!

The last photo above is getting the most positive comments and I am wondering if maybe it is because my hair is off my face. I have often thought I looked better with my hair off my face...but as I get older, maybe I thought all the hair around my face would detract from the wrinkles and age spots!!!
Here are the glasses again, with my hair down. Do you still prefer this pair, or maybe what I need more is a new hairstyle. Queenie posted an awesome hairstyle which she found here http://www.hairstylescut.com/images/choppy-medium.jpg THANKS QUEENIE!
OK...the glasses
still like them the best? Click here to go back to YLF: http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/a-couple-more-pair-of-glasses-opinions-please?replies=1#post-101162 THANKS!
I guess I don't like this outfit after seeing it on camera. I love the skirt but need to figure out a different top. This looks awful.
I won this cute AT cord skirt on ebay for .99! $6.99 for shipping, but what the hey - I was pleased! I thought it would be perfect with my new boots and tights. I thought I loved this outift...but as the day went on, I wasn't so sure.
I have a couple questions:
Is this a boyfriend cardigan, or does it just look like an ill-fitting cardigan? What is the difference? It is a small.
I am used to wearing more fitted tops, maybe my eyes need to adjust, or does this just look funny?
Should I find a shade of brown tights that is closer to my boot color?
What would you have paired this skirt with? What should I be on the look out for to pair with it?
Thanks in advance!

Monday - I got to wear my new boots!! I love, love, love them. This is a Liz Claiborne dress I got at the thrift store. I always wear a sweater with it (usually a fitted cardigan) and brown Mary Janes. The dress is cut so weirdly - very flowy - but with the sweater added it is perfect.
Tuesday - black skirt and cami, fuschia cardi, scarf worn as a belt, pearls, black t-strap
Wednesday - brown Limited tulip skirt, striped Limited blouse, light blue cardi, brown belt, brown Franco Sarto - Tame boots. I think this is the first time I have worn a full sleeve blouse with a 3/4 sleeve cardi...does it look ok?
Thursday - gray ann taylor pants, yellow cami, yellow express shirt, denim jacket, red Sofft shoes, black, yellow, red, white scarf. I hadn't planned to wear the denim jacket with this outfit, but when I planned it out on Thursday night, I didn't realize it was going to be so dang cold out Thursday. It was only 40 degrees F. I didn't know what else to throw on at the last minute and grabbed this. Hindsight - I wouldn't choose it again.
What would have looked better with this pants/top/scarf combo?
